Well, I have had a wonderful Mothers Day. My daughter Rosanne arrived yesterday with her husband Michael and best of all (sorry Rosanne and Michael) they brought my granddaughter Lauren. Yippee!
This morning we went to the park and then walked over the hill to Starbucks for a hot chocolate. That was fun till Lauren decided to walk in the weeds and filled a shoe with pickers poor baby.
After walking home we went to Dana Point to the Marina for lunch, it was packed but we still only waited 10 minutes and were able to eat outside in the sunshine watching the marina and the boats, we even saw seals along with the pelicans and other birds. What was even more fun was the walk along the beach afterward with Lauren dashing in and out of the surf. She ended up with very wet shorts but she sure had fun.
Time for a nap back at home as their internal clocks are 3 hours ahead of ours as they flew in from Michigan. Our internal clocks are fine but we still took a nap too, after all what's a Sunday afternoon for if not for catching up on your sleep? Especially Mother's Day afternoon!
We then had more fun walking to the park again before our little 6 year old bundle of fun fell in bed after her bath and was asleep in seconds flat. So was Tim but nothing new there then!
WOW this is what the Pacific looks like!
