Under the Arch
Under the Arch is the Museum, lots to see and loads to read (I was there for hours!) it was hard to take photos in side the museum, but I thought this one was pretty good.

Here’s a closeup look at the Arch.
The Grounds surrounding the Arch
The park surrounding the Arch is quite amazing. It’s very serene, peaceful, and quite beautiful. There are loads of informative signs dotted about, lots of paths through trees, and lovely lakes.
I also learned it was founded by the National Park Service in 1935 to commemorate Thomas Jefferson’s vision of a transcontinental United States, the Gateway Arch National Park (formerly known as the “Jefferson National Expansion Memorial”) stretches from the Old Courthouse to the steps overlooking the Mississippi River.
You can see the Capital building from the entrance to the Arch.
Interesting Information Boards throughout the Park
After I got back to the campground the heavens decided to open up again, not that it was a problem for me as I had already put my TailVeil up when I arrived yesterday. It is nice to be sitting inside somewhere nice and dry and warm and listening to the rain, again!

The following morning I packed up and went to the Cahokia Mounds.
